Available Grants
The Montgomery County Community Foundation is now accepting grant requests from qualified 501 (c) 3 non-profit organizations in Montgomery County. The Foundation is especially interested in funding initiatives that are collaborative, inclusive, respond to major gaps in service and are rooted in the community.
This will be the ninth year of distribution of funds in the form of grants to the community for the Montgomery County Community Foundation. The Foundation has been established to create and build a permanent fund to provide for the present and future well being of our county. A Board of private citizens, who represent the diverse interests of Montgomery County, governs the Foundation.
There is currently some funding available for distribution this year in the following fields of interest:
1) Financial Assistance to the neediest families in Montgomery County, with special consideration to people who have sudden unexpected needs due to sickness, injury, disability, death in the family or natural disasters. The spirit of Matthew 25:31-46 will be followed. (Funds will be distributed to an organization or organizations with a 501 (c) 3 status for administration to deserving groups or individuals.)
2) Funds to provide health care and wellness assistance and education, including shelter and medical or psychological screening, treatment or counseling in the South Montgomery County/Woodlands area, through funding of capital improvements for buildings, improvements, furnishings or equipment and/or related program expenses, but exclusive of administrative, staffing or overhead expenses.
Any organization that received a grant from MCCF in a previous year, must file a detailed report (before September 30) of the use of those funds prior to applying for a grant for the current year.
Deadline for Grant Applications to be returned is September 30. The complete package, along with one copy, should be mailed to:
